5 Ways to Get Noticed as a Travel Photographer (Part 2/5)

In an era where everyone with a phone and a backpack can take photos of their travels and post them online, it can be very difficult to stand out as a Travel Photographer. This video series will go into 5 ways to get noticed and stand out from the crowd.

In part two I discuss picking a marketing strategy and sticking to it.

Let’s be honest. When you first decided to become a Travel Photographer, you did not expect to also become an accountant, marketer, salesperson, social media manager, travel agent, and more. You expected to spend a lot more time behind the camera and a lot less time pitching yourself to clients, answering emails, keeping track of finances and expenses, and managing various social media accounts.

Running a business is very time consuming and marketing can often be put on the back burner. However, if you want to stop the stress of working client to client, paycheque to paycheque, you need to be thinking about the long-term success of your business.

Find a marketing strategy that works for you, your business, and your ideal client. Set aside time on a regular, consistent basis to put that strategy to work and stick to it! Each marketing strategy is unique, so it is never a bad idea to find an expert in this area and learn from them.

The basic idea is that you want to create a consistent amount of quality content to increase your online presence. Not only will this help your search engine ranking, but it establishes you as an expert. How could your ideal client resist?
